I am a local runner with an outstanding knowledge of the city – past, present and future.
I’ve led architectural walking tours for Architecture Week, Liverpool Biennial, have been the local co-ordinator for Heritage Open Days and have been active in the Liverpool cultural, creative and business scene for over a decade.
So having got into running in my early 30s I’m now a keen runner in local athletics and have run competitively at all distances up to Marathon. I guess you could describe me as an enthusiastic amateur, my PB times aren’t great compared to some of our amazing local athletes but I’ll still obsessively lace my shoes most days and get that massive feeling of guilt if I’ve missed a day’s run. If you’re reading this far then you may also already know that feeling!
I can run a sub-20min 5k and 3h12′ for marathon so it gives you an idea of where I’m at.
If you’re training at sub 6:00 pace then I may not be the right running guide for you; but if you want a steadier session and a bit of company on the long run then why not drop me line anyway? Or if you’re new to Liverpool and looking for some interesting running routes then get in touch!
Above all, whatever your ability, remember that these runs are for FUN!
I love Liverpool and I love running; perhaps I can share some of that with you on one of my Liverpool running tours? Urban running is the best way to experience a city!
